A Visit To Islands of AdventureFlorida Guide > Universal Parks The park itself is decorated for Christmas and looks lovely especially Seuss Landing. We have been before but it is nearly two years since we rode ‘Spiderman’. This is one of my husband’s favourite rides but we were well impressed with how it has been modified since our last visit. It is in 3D and lots of new characters attacking and landing on your vehicle. We are also sure it is faster than it was. Very exciting and stimulates all the senses. Fancy flying above the city just missing buildings etc, well this is for you. Don your 3D glasses and away you go. I also think this is one for most of the family to enjoy. We then went over to ‘Poseidon’s Fury’. There are various ‘tours’ though out the day. You are taken through the underwater Temple of Poseidon by a guide who quickly looses control of the situation; actually he is very good and quite comical. Walking through a ring of water – no you don’t get wet – you arrive in the lower depths of the temple. Here you witness the battle between Poseidon and his enemy Lord Darkenon. Fire, lasers and water explosions follow as the battle continues. The special effects on this part of the tour are pretty good. Well worth a visit in my opinion. At this time of year, December, as you wander around Seuss Landing you will come across ‘Grinch’ everywhere. The makeup on these guys is phenomenal and they really do interact with you and make you laugh. Three or four times a day they put on a show ‘Grinchmas’ which this year is bigger than ever. For you coaster fans there is of course The Incredible Hulk Coaster. To say this is fast is an understatement, fast noisy and absolutely fabulous. This is a very smooth ride but not, in my opinion, for the fainthearted. We loved it and rode it twice. So many other things to see in this park but unfortunately time ran out for us. We will of course go back another day to see everything we missed this time.
