Busch Gardens.....Something for Everyone

Florida Guide > Other Parks

If you haven’t visited Busch Gardens before, then you must try it on your next trip.

The drive to Tampa is approximately one and a half hour from Kissimmee, but as driving in Orlando is easy you really won’t have any problems getting there. Once you have arrived a tram will take you to the entrance.

Thrill seekers will absolutely love this park, the rides here are awesome. One of the newest rides is Sheikra…. . and shriek you will, after dangling for 5 seconds over a sheer drop the ride begins, this is the only ride in Florida that has terrified me, defiantly not for the faint hearted. All the Big rides in Busch Gardens are fantastic

Don’t be put off visiting if you’re not a thrill seeker, there are lots of sedate rides too and the gardens are beautiful. A favourite place to visit with our young family is the children’s play area, lots of little rides and plenty of water play for the little ones to keep cool. A swim suit and a towel are essential for the children to enjoy this on a hot day.

Speaking of water…. The Tidal Wave…. this is a great ride but after getting off the ride you have to cross a bridge, serious consideration is needed here. When we were half way across the bridge I noticed the coaster hurtling towards the water we were going over, it didn’t matter which way we ran and the wave this ride creates soaks everyone on the bridge and running for dear life will not save you from a drenching, careful timing is needed. . .

As there are lots of wet rides at Busch Gardens you may wish to take a towel with you and maybe a change of clothes……yes you will get that wet.

Apart from the rides there are plenty of animals to see and meet. Favourites in our family are any animal from the Ape family and the Gorillas are amazing. If you’re lucky you could be only inches away from them, though protective glass does separate you it is great being so close.

When you get hungry you will find plenty of places to eat and you may even be lucky enough to have the resident Jazz Band play to you while you eat.

As with all parks there are plenty of shops to buy souvenirs and gifts.

All that is left to be said is get booking! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! You will enjoy! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
