Magic Kingdom Golf CoursesMagnolia Golf Course 18-hole Located close to Magic Kingdom near the Grand Floridian Hotel Joe Lee created this beautifully designed 7,190 yard course. It gets its name from its more than 1,500 magnolia trees that line the course. It is home each year to the final round of the PGA Tour's FUNAI Classic. The Magnolia course is the longest of all the Disney courses. The course is a golfer's dream with elevated tees and greens and rolling terrain. Disney's golf pros rate this course the third hardest of the five Disney courses. The design is considered by many to be a classic with very wide fairways. However a word of warning is needed because eleven of the eighteen holes have water. There are also nearly 100 bunkers scattered around the greens and landscape. This will ensure you will have a challenging round of golf ahead of you. Golfers get a very special hazard to try and avoid as they play their round of golf on the 6th hole. The sand trap has the form of a Mickey Mouse silhouette. Another Joe Lee-designed course, this course features many tree-lined fairways, plus elevated greens and tees. You will find more than your share of water and sand hazards with nine water holes and 94 bunkers strategically placed around the course. The Palm course is located next to the Magnolia course, is played each year as part of the PGA Tour's FUNAI Classic. Many pros on the PGA tour think this is the most difficult of the tournament courses. While you are playing here be prepared to see deer and other wildlife if you are on the tees in the early morning. Another thing is to be sure to check the sand traps for alligators who enjoy sunning themselves on the course. The 18th hole is rated the fourth-toughest hole on the PGA Tour. This course is rated one of "America's Top 75 Resort Courses". Tom Fazio designed a contrasting extra-long links style golf course which is very different from its counterpart, Eagle Pines. Osprey Ridge features dramatically elevated greens and tees, nine water holes, and more than 70 bunkers placed strategically throughout the course. Rolling fairways cut through the local forests of scrub oaks, pine, palmetto, cypress, and bay trees, while high mounds protect the medium to large greens. "Golf Digest" and "Places to Play," who rank the best public and resort golf courses in the U.S., have recognized Osprey Ridge as one of the best courses in Florida. Low, "dish-shaped" fairways and huge sand beds give this course a intimidating look and will definitely make for a unique challenge to any golfer. This course follows a low profile and features the natural wetlands areas. Instead of grass in the rough areas, golfers will find pine straw and sand. Sixteen holes feature water, and well-placed bunkers protect the rolling greens, which are Pete Dye's signature for a golf course. To the average golfer the course looks extremely challenging, but it is really a joy to play. Golf course designer Joe Lee's course design is characterized by small, slightly elevated, well-protected bunkered greens that force the golfer to make accurate shots to score well. This course is one of only a few that has actually hosted a PGA Tour event, an LPGA Tour event, and a USGA event. This course has an island green to shoot at on the beautiful 7th hole that will challenge any golfer. Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is short and tight, but the views and fairways are wide and open.
