Mimis RestaurantThe restaurant is different from the usual chain restaurants When you first go in it reminds me of an Italian restaurant. The staff there are very friendly and efficient but beware the portions are very large as yet we have never finish a meal. They do serve breakfast as well as lunch and dinner The breakfast menu has a famous benedict’s choice including blue crab benedicts, At Lunch and Dinner there is a large choice of menu ranging from pasta to more traditional meals. They have steaks seafood ect but my actual favorite is the chicken pot pie. This is a large pot filled with chicken in a delicious sauce it has vegetables in it also then it is toped off with a light golden flakey pastry so light it makes your mouth water just thinking about it They also do a small bite section which includes things like Blue crab cakes for a little different kind of thing. If you ask the server (for the health conscious) they have a lifestyle fare menu which is a lower carb or lower fat menu. The pasta dishes do have a good selection to choose from the pasta jambalaya is good it has chicken shrimp pork and Cajun sausage all in tomato pasta They also have a good choice of fish on the menu salmon, shrimp and even cod. They do lots of classic dishes, meatloaf, liver, pork chops ECT The sandwiches are also very good they serve them with French fries which the say has zero grams of Trans fat in them The portions are so large but do try to save room for dessert (my Favorite) Some things on the menu are bread pudding New York cheese cake, and best of all Banana Foster Mud Pie This is huge it has banana/vanilla ice cream with caramel and candid pecans on a graham cracker served with a banana caramel sauce and whipped cream If you can’t eat it all they are pleased to give you a take out box If you are in Florida at thanksgiving I can certainly recommend you go to Mimis they do a set menu it is a 3 course and last year it was only $13. 99 at each course there was a choice, and as a lot of restaurants are closed on thanksgiving it is a good alternative but I would recommend booking in advance.
