We had been going to Florida for many years before friends recommended a visit to Sammy Duvall’s Watersport Centre. On a sunny day this comes as a welcome relief from the Parks and it is open every day of the year.
Sammy Duvall’s is situated behind Disney' s Contemporary Resort. The actual address is:

Sammy Duvall was a Waterskiing World Champion for the 17 years of his professional waterskiing career and you will find the latest boats and equipment at his Centre.
On offer for families and individuals there is the opportunity to Parasail, ride your Personal Watercraft, Water-ski, Wakeboard, Tube and more. It is one of the more expensive attractions but we thought it was worth the money for the experience.
For corporate events there are several packages available. Firms can chose from:
Hall of Fame Package- 8 hours, for groups above 75 people
Pro Package- 5 hours, for groups up to 60 guests
Elite Package- 3 hours, for groups up to 40 guests
Team Package- 2 hours, groups under 20 guests
If you go parasailing you are put in a boat with other guest as well as the workers. I must admit I was somewhat scared of doing this and was apprehensive on the way but I need not have been. Putting on the gear that was provided was quite simple and we were lifted off the back of the boat very gently.
We were in the air for about an exhilarating 15 minutes before being reeled back in without even getting wet! You see everything when you are up in the air including all of Disney as well as downtown Orlando. Afterwards we decided to buy the photo package which was over 70 pictures on a memory card; this was worth the $25 we paid for it.
All of our family went on the jet skiing tour through Disney, this really was amazing. We followed a leader and went on a guided tour. We saw so much from Cinderella' s Castle to Space Mountain and our very friendly guide was happy to stop and talk about anything we were interested in.
Amongst other activities you can hire a private skiboat and driver and enjoy going around Bay Lake. There are also Wakeboarding and Tubing and you will find all the instructors patient and friendly.
I really recommend Sammy Duvall’s although it is quite expensive it makes such a relaxing change for the chaos of the Parks, we will return there on our next visit.
