Walt Disney World – Tips - Epcot

Bring your e-mail address list. You can e-mail messages, pictures and video clips to family and friends back home from Mission: SPACE and from Imageworks at the Imagination Pavilion.

ATMs at Epcot are located on the east side of the Entrance Plaza, on the path between Future World and World Showcase, and near Germany. You can exchange currency at Guest Relations or at the American Express Travel Office on the west side of the Entrance Plaza.

Families with young children shouldn't miss the Kidcot Fun Stop activity centers located around World Showcase. The kids will have a chance to do hands-on activities and ask questions as you visit each country.

Check the tip board at Innoventions Plaza, behind Spaceship Earth, throughout the day for the current wait times for the most popular attractions at the Park.

At Ice Station Cool, you get to taste drinks from around the world – for FREE!

If you’re going to Epcot in the evening to dine and or watch the fireworks, it's much easier to walk to World Showcase through the International Gateway (located near the Boardwalk) than to park at the entrance – it also makes for a much easier exit!

If you are very tall the front row of the Test Track cars have more leg room.

There are at least three “enchanted water fountains” that will talk back to you:

  1. Face the "Fountain of Nations" with Spaceship Earth behind you. Thetalking water fountain is outside Mouse Gear, on your left.
  2. There's another to the right of the magic/play fountain between WorldShowcase and Future World.
  3. The third is behind Innoventions West, near the restroom.

If that’s not enough you can also find a talking rubbish bin in Future World, near the Electric Umbrella restaurant, next to Innoventions.

When you arrive at Epcot early in the morning don’t be tempted to join the queue for Spaceship Earth, by the afternoon there will be NO queue at all!

Even though Spaceship Earth is the newest ride, the longest queue is always for test track, so make use of the Fast Pass.

Epcot really is a park to stroll round, don’t be tempted to rush past the street entertainers, they really are brilliant.

Don't forget to bring your autograph book! Look for the double-decker bus carrying your favourite characters through the park, all dressed for their holidays.
