‘Must do’s’ at Universal Studios

Florida Guide > Universal Parks

As villa owners our guests often ask us what are the ‘must do’ attractions at each of the parks. Obviously this does depend on the age and make up of your party however these are our ‘must do’ rides and attractions at Universal Studios.

Revenge of the Mummy – The Ride
Universals newest ride, and the only roller coaster in Universal Studios, this is awesome, it is dark, spooky and very scary and there are more than a few surprises but it’s definitely our favourite ride at Universal. Although if you’re really not keen on creepy crawlies it might be an idea to skip this!

Back to The Future
This ride is amazing, Doc Brown sends you swooping through time, right back to the dinosaurs and the ice age, and all to stop Biff from altering the future! Although not the newest of the simulator rides, this is a classic and really shouldn’t be missed. If you prefer a smoother ride opt to sit in the front row of the car.

Terminator 2 - 3D Battle Across Time
Another amazing 3D show, it really doesn’t matter where in the theatre you are seated, as the experience is brilliant from wherever. There is also a live element to the show.

Shrek 4D
Join Princess Fiona and Shrek in this amazing 4D show! The pre-show instructions are wickedly funny so make sure you’re listening. A lot of the humour will go over the head of younger children, however they will certainly enjoy the actual show.

Jimmy Neutrons Nicktoon Blast
‘The incredibly evil Ooblar has stolen Jimmy Neutron’s newest rocket creation.’
So climb aboard your own rocket and follow Jimmy on a high speed chase through all your favourite cartoons, including Spongebob Squarepants, Hey Arnold and Rugrats.
But be prepared for a very bumpy ride!

Jaws
An absolute classic! Incredibly corny but absolutely brilliant at the same time. Don’t forget to get the obligatory photo with your head inside the shark’s mouth just outside the entrance to the ride.

ET Adventure
This ride is charming, and will appeal to young and old alike. As you enter the ride they take your name – you don’t have to give your real name, so if you’ve always hankered after something more unusual like ‘Peaches and Cream’ or ‘Long John Silver’ don’t be afraid to say it – the staff have almost certainly heard dafter ones.
Then at the end of the ride listen very carefully as ‘somebody’ will say goodbye to you personally.
