The 220-acre facility plays host to over 170 amateur and professional events each year. This is a terrific place where athletes can compete and experience the same world-class facilities that are used by the best athletes in the world.
The Ballpark at Disney' s Wide World of Sports resembles the amenities of modern-day major league ballparks. You can see its unique architecture features, towering archways, deep seating bowl, designer tile flooring, classic lighting, and first-class turf, which creates an atmosphere that fans and athletes will never forget.
With over 9, 500 seats (80 percent of those between first and third base), four luxury sky boxes, and two open-air suites, the double-decker stadium is the tallest of all Major League Baseball Spring Training sites and offers all the amenities of a state-of-the art facility. You can use comfortable extra-wide seating and hospitality areas for entertaining are located near to the convenient baseball-themed merchandise stores.
The Atlanta Braves make this their home as a Spring Training site with suite level executive offices and a conference room that overlooks the stadium field. Atlanta Braves General Manager John Schuerholz called it ' the finest baseball spring training facility in the world. ”
The Centre Court Stadium has 1, 000 permanent courtside seats with the opportunity to place 7, 500 seats for larger events.
Inside, fans are surrounded by beautiful ballroom-style finished hallways and stairwells that are decorated with coloured tiles. You can enjoy the brightly painted ceiling with special up-lighting that gives the cozy arena an open feel. Of the 5, 000 seats, the highest row in The Milk House is only 35 feet off the ground, providing really close views of all the action.
Everything has been thought of to ensure athletes have a five-star experience in The Milk House. This facility allows athletes to attend a health session in one of the four classrooms, work out in the 3, 000-square-foot strength-and-conditioning room or use one of the spacious wood professional lockers that have safety features and a lower storage area.
The Track and Field Complex is considered to be one of the world' s premier competition and training facilities for state, national, and international events. The Complex has all the amenities of a modern world-class facility, which is designed to the exact specifications of the International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF), the world governing body for track and field.
Amongst the facilities to be found here are:
• three shot-put rings
• two discus/hammer rings
• javelin runway
• two high-jump areas
• two interior horizontal jump runways
• two pole-vault runways with landing zones
• UCS Olympic-style hurdles
• two UCS pole-vault pits with standards up to 21 feet
• two UCS high-jump pits
The whole complex is a tribute to Disney you must go to see it to truly appreciate it.
