Magic Kingdom holiday Parade and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party
The Christmas holiday celebrations are special, even more so when you are lucky enough to spend them at Disney world in Florida!
We love Christmas and love to spend time in Florida for the holiday season. Disney parades are always spectacular, but the evening Christmas holiday parades are just out of this world. The children love them, but it’s sometimes difficult to keep the little ones awake to see the parade, so it’s a good idea to visit one of Mickey’s special Christmas parties.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party requires a separate admission ticket and is held on selected nights in November and December, it is a little extra cost but I have to say it is worth every penny. You arrive late afternoon to see all the wonders of the holiday parade and if you can get the little ones to rest during the day then they are able to stay awake for the party.
I loved watching the parade, with its brightly colored lights and all the characters dressed in holiday costumes. The music was amazing! Santa was the star of the parade, and Rudolf dancing around with the elves made the children laugh. The gingerbread house looked good enough to eat and the drummers and presents and huge candy canes with their bright red and white stripes made me hungry!
You will be served delicious complimentary cookies and hot cocoa and magical snowfall will delight everyone on Main Street, U. S. A. The little ones were chasing the snowflakes, and I guess some of them had never seen real snow (We are from England so see plenty of it)
The complimentary cookie and hot chocolate were very welcomed, and were absolutely delicious. We visited the parade on my Granddaughters birthday, and she got a special birthday badge with her name on it from guest services. This made her feel very special as all the cast and characters made a special effort and wished her “HAPPY BIRTHDAY”.
The evening was finished off with an amazing fireworks display, specially made for the party, and I have to say it was absolutely AWESOME. Everyone cheered when Jiminy Cricket reminds you that home is where the heart is, not a dry eye in the place!
I loved the party evening, and it was a fantastic way to celebrate with my family. We have amazing memories of that evening.
